Hi David. The Stadium is just a five minute walk for the average person from the ferry terminal in Staten Island. If you ride the ferry on the main deck(go up the escalator at the terminal in Manhattan)it should be an easy walk over to the Stadium even for your father. There are no stairs which you will encounter going to the Stadium. The only stairs are in the ballpark. You enter a concourse which is bordered by the top row of seats. All the seats are below the concourse and accessible by steps. I do not drive to the ballpark as I am in Manhattan but I believe it costs either $3.00 or $5.00 to park. Is the parking adequate? That I do not know. The ferry ride is great and if you look to the right of the terminal in Staten Island as you approach you will see the Stadium. Just got tickets for Thursday's game too since "El Duque" is supposed to pitch. Hope the above helps...Bruce
