Subject:  Web Site

It seems that the web site is first developing into a useful tool for fans as the 2001 season is drawing to a close. The SI Yanks have been in existence for 3 years now and you still can't buy a single ticket online. I hate to say it but the Brooklyn Cyclone's site is way ahead of the Yankees' site. There you can purchase single tickets to individual games and pick up the tickets on gameday all for the cost of the ticket and a $1.00 service charge for the order.

The site must be kept up to date. It is 9:23PM on Sunday August 12th and the homepage says the next game is on Saturday August 11th!

The Brooklyn site has many stats and information not available on this site. You would think with a head start that Staten Island would have a "major league" web site. They don't. Management failed to recognize the importance of the web and sacrificed another year of potentially greater ticket sales and fan interest in the team.

The addition of video is a nice idea and the link to WSIA is certainly welcome to any Baby Bomber fan as the station's signal cannot be picked up even at the St. George Ballpark!

I hope by Opening Day 2002 the web site will be first class like the Yankee organization.
